Copa IBA Closing Date

Hey everyone! Once again, please be reminded that tomorrow, 27th June 2007 is the FINAL closing date for Copa IBA 2007 registration. For your convenience in registration and ours especially in the insurance application, please send also a copy of your registration forms through our e-mail at "copa.iba.sports "at" gmail "dot" com" using this file as a template for registration and follow the instructions below. Do include your contact number so we can contact you regarding any issues in the registration. A grace period will be given for payment to 1st July 2007 as some may still have difficulty in getting the payment in time. However the forms, whether by paper or by email will still have to be in latest by tomorrow.

Instructions:
Please rename this file by stating the Sport Category followed by a dash and the full Church Name. See below for the categories short names. If you have two or more teams from the same church and of the same sport category, include the suffix A for the 1st team, B for the 2nd team, and so on.

Example: The team is from Petaling Jaya Gospel Hall and participating in Captain Ball Under-15. This team is the 1st of the 2 teams from the same church and in the same sport category. The file and email title should be named as: CB15-PetalingJayaGospelHall-A

Sport Categories Short names:
CB15 – Captain Ball Under-15
CB23 – Captain Ball Under-23
FS15 – Futsal Under-15
FS23 – Futsal Under-23

Forms correction and Closing Date Reminder

Dear all,

We would like to apologise on a little error regarding the closing date on the forms. The closing date is 27th June 2007, not 23rd June 2007 as stated on both the team and individual forms. However, existing forms that has already been printed is still valid for submission.

Again as a gentle reminder, late entries will not be accepted. Thank you and apologies for any inconveniences the error has caused.

Age limit

We understand that there have been some questions raised in regards to the age limit of Under 15 and Under 23 category.

Age limit are determine by the year of birth of a player.

Under 15 - born in year 1992 and above. i.e: 1993, 1994, 1995...

Under 23 - born in year 1984 and above. i.e: 1985, 1986, 1987...

Please feel free to contact us should further clarification is still needed.

Referees & Officials Training 2

To all Copa IBA 2007 referees and officials, please do note that there will a 2nd training on the 17th June 2007 at 3pm in Real Sports Arena, Klang (the venue for this year's Copa IBA). See you there!

Team Managers Meeting

Hello everyone! We have the great privilege to invite all Youth leaders and prospective Team managers of IBA participating Churches to a meeting THIS SUNDAY 20TH MAY 2007 at SS GOSPEL CENTRE beginning at 3PM SHARP. Directions to SS Gospel Centre can be found below.

It is important, with only 7 weeks leading to this year's event, that we begin to share with you the exciting details of program and activities together with the Lord's vision and purpose and will in this COPA IBA fellowship.

We are excited with the new program for 2007 and we trust that as we introduce this to you on Sunday, we may all share in the blessings that this year's event will bring.

This is an open meeting and we encourage you to bring ALL who may be involved in your own assembly planning for this year, with particular emphasis on the appointed team Managers being present. A specific Team manager for each team for this year will be compulsory and it is in this meeting that we wish to share this and other ideas with you.

We are reminded of our commitment by the apostle Paul that:
"I try to find common ground with everyone so that I might bring them to Christ. I do all this to spread the Good News, and in doing so I enjoy its blessings" 1 Cor. 9:22-23
and so we believe the Lord will provide for us a plentiful harvest.

We look forward to seeing you this Sunday, 20th May at 3 pm sharp.

Special Futsal Promotion for Copa IBA!

Update (28th June 2007): Promotional Futsal Rates has been updated.

As we look forward to Copa IBA and honing our skills in the sports, we are pleased to inform you that REAL Sports Arena, the venue for Copa IBA 2007 is now offering special promotional rates specially for teams playing in Copa IBA! Yes you heard that right! For teams who wish to practice futsal for Copa IBA 2007, they can do so now at a discounted rate! Details are as follows:

Monday to Friday

9am - 7pm:
RM 30 / hour

After 7pm:
RM 60 / hour

Saturday & Sunday

All Day:
RM 60 / hour

Introducing, Copa IBA 2007!

Hey everyone! We hope you are all excited for Copa IBA 2007 as we will have new and interesting changes this year! First and foremost, we will be introducing a new sport - Futsal! Hooray! Also not forgetting Captain Ball which is also one of the main sport this year! On the other hand, we will not include Football, Floorball and Ultimate Frisbee this year to facilitate this year's changes. And to families, dads, moms, anyone young or old, there will something special for you to enjoy at Copa IBA too! We are also having foosball to be enjoyed together with your families or friends!

To accommodate our new sport, we will also be having it at a new venue. Copa IBA 2007 will be at a large indoor futsal complex. The venue will be at Klang and a map to the location can be viewed below. We will be posting photos of the venue as it soon as it's available!

Copa IBA 2007 Updates

Hey everyone! As mentioned in our previous post (dated very long ago!) This year's Copa IBA will still be on at 14th July 2007!

And oh, not forgetting to mention, there will be new changes to this year's Copa IBA! It will be held in a new location AND it will have a new sport! Psst.. stay tune as we get more info up as soon as possible!
